It really depends. Most of my driving is literlally half freeway, and half city streets, and I would say I drive pretty high in the rpm band. (Shifting at no less than 5500rpm most of the time at 7000rpm) In which case I usually get about 21 mpg for the tank. When I go to Las Vegas I'll get 30 mpg but I don't take my baby out there much. Only twice so far. I have yet to take her ( my car) to the track but I imagine mileage to around the very low double digits (Maybe 12-14 mpg) if I drove her to the limits for an entire track day.

I drive 90% in the city and get about 21 MPG. I rarely vtec, still on 10W 30 Synthetic, rolling on Blizzak LM 22, and the weather is cold near 20F lows and 40 F highs.

I've had my Prelude for over 4.5 years. I've driven 77,267.7 miles on 3,360.046 gallons, so that's 23.00 MPG. I do mostly freeway driving but have a hard VTEC habit to break. :-)

Aside from a few tanks that were consumed entirely on the interstate, I can't recall a tank better than 24 mpg, with 20-22 being pretty typical. Frequently in the 18-19 range, as well. Fort Wayne has an interesting mix of high speed limits (I frequently travel through town going 45-60 mph) and frequent stop lights which is a killer on mileage. That, and the constant VTEC engagement!
