PMs are restricted to Members for a couple of weeks. Users like you who don't contribute get that privilege later.

Premium Memberships (paid) have instant access to the PM feature in addition to other benefits. For Non-Premium memberships, you must have an account that is 2 weeks old before PM access will be automatically given.

My account is greater than 2 weeks old, but I still can't seem to send a PM. I'm trying to buy from a vendor/member to support his business, but he will only accept orders through PM.

The PM permissions are only given to active accounts. If the account is eligible for PM permissions but hasn't been used, then the update to the account giving PM permissions is deferred until the account has become active. This appears to be the case here.

Think Im suffering the same issue. I just noticed that my sent messages are not showing up and I do not know if they are going through. sam_spider.. I sent you one as a test.
