Stars, how many?

I was sporting 15 or 16 stars and now I see 3. What is the criteria for stars?

Silly question but, how does one get more stars? I've been on here since 2012 but I just started noticing myself having stars.

You have to say nice things to the moderators. I think for every 10 compliments = 1 star. Sideways is obviously a huge suck up!

You've been on here for over three years now so you currently have three stars. When you hit your five-year anniversary (this July), it will become five stars. Then you'll get ten on your tenth anniversary, and fifteen on your fifteenth.
