Default Billman TCT

Just ordered a Billman250 Motion Generation-X TCT to replace my ailing TCT.

Works out to about the same price as a stock unit from Honda.

Will let everyone know how it turns out.

Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Yeah, I thot about the sandblast fix (if that is what you do), but then decided to go whole hog, so to speak! :-)

Have a great weekend.

Eat lots of turkey and pie... slow you down a bit!

Yeah sand blast the worm gear. Did that to mine years ago and haven't had an issue with it since. I will definitely stock pile some pie... Worst case is a smaller pulley to help with the extra weight

Have a good holiday

Billman doesn't recommend the sandblast fix.

It's worked for me and many others. He's the one that recommended this method years ago so I'm not sure why he wouldn't recommend it. Yes he does other things to the tct that could make it last for a "lifetime" but I've never had an issue with mine to warrant the change

I think that was the old school thinking

lots of recent discussion says sandblasting isn't the right solution

also it seems like Inlinepro and ballade tct's had problems with their TCT pins getting worn down..

Have his TCT in my car, no issues at all for whatever that's worth

Same, I did mine with the Billman one as a precautionary measure.
