I don't use the access port to pull the pin from the tct. My blower is in the way as well. I insert the the tct preloaded then remove the threaded rod and assemble the rest of it while its on the car. Takes more time but is way quicker than removing the blower lol

Some added photos, to Billman's TCT installation. Great device. Noticeable decrease in idle noise. Some added photos.
Allen socket on service port that needs removal.
Removed two bolts on air box (passenger side). Moving box to side is enough room to gain access to service port and pin pulling.
Pin that needs removal to activate the TCT. Billman's stamp can be seen on new unit.
Left side bolt (orange colored) that needs to be removed. Holds the TCT.

From an automotive manufacturing point of view, nothing wrong with the sandblasting method. The real R&D is all the people doing it over the years. That data is priceless for us. You would be surprised how we make parts sometimes.
