Grand Bend Raceway Car Lapping 2017
The 2016 Grand Bend Raceway Car Lapping Season is over - Time to start 2017 Plans.
Next week is the 2016 SEMA Show in Vegas where Manufacturers and After Market Manufacturers gather to show their stuff.
Honda will be showing the Civic Type R Concept for the first time in North America as well as a 2016 HPD Civic Coupe Race Car which will debut at the 25 Hour Thunderhill Endurance Race in early December. Here is a sneak peak of the car. HPD will also will offer a Body in White Civic Body like they did for the 9th Generation Civic. These came from the Alliston Civic Plant in Ontario.
We'll have Todd behind the wheel of the White 2008 S2000 CR with some driver coaching by Corey Whiteman and updates including a 255 Square Setup, thicker swaybar and coil overs make to be decided. The plan is to run the stock front bumper and stock CR rear spoiler. Grant Galloway will run his 8th generation Civic SI Time Attack and will also try his 10th generation Civic Type R with us at the Bend. I don't know what our allocation of Type Rs will be, I'm hoping to get one after Grant or I may try a 17 Civic SI Coupe Turbo that should be introduced at the LA Car Show in December. Looking forward to additional Corey Whiteman coaching in the RS which I plan on keeping 2017 Ontario Safety Check Legal.
Perhaps we can agree on Once a Month S2000 Meets at Grand Bend Raceway in 2017?

Hi Norm, I don't want to cut up the original interior, so going to install carpet. I can fit the centre compartment without cutting, so that might happen over the winter. The stock roll hoops will not fit with this roll bar. Btw, the stock roll bars are really light, I would not want to roll the car with just them for protection.

Lots of Honda stuff for the 10th Generation Civics at this week's SEMA Show. The CivicX website has lots of pictures including the new HPD Civic Coupe Body in White along with HPD Racing Parts. SEIBON has lots of body parts.
The SI debut will be at the LA Car Show around the middle of December. No official word about the SI Motor.
Is the Rumor True that Penske is returning to IMSA Sports Car Racing with a Honda Powered Prototype driven by Montoya?
