Tuning garages in Nashville area?
I'm stationed at fort Campbell and I was wondering if anyone knows of any shops around here that know how to tune a S and tune I well. I have trust issues after my Spoon diff was installed incorrectly.

^^Agree, A tune is not going to yield you much unless you've got forced induction. Only benefit I've seen is it gives you the ability to make VTEC kick in sooner, which can really suck if your car is not a dedicated track car. Imagine running in Vtec at interstate speeds all the time.

A tune allows vtec the ability to kick in sooner but it is also based on oil pressure. You still have to be wot or getting on it for the cams to switch over. Mine is set at 3500 rpm but it doesn't change over unless I'm really on it. I think a tune is worth it even if it's only a NA street s2k. You won't gain much peak hp but the mid range power and driveability improve significantly. A good tune will smooth out the power band. You shouldn't even "feel" Vtec kick in (Yo!). The mid range power will be bumped up between the 2 cams and smoothed out. The car will feel like it has a more powerful engine overall with more torque also. For a lower vtec, you have to have a high flow cat or a test pipe. Otherwise, you will lose hp by lowering vtec.
Jason Su at SujaOne Motoring in Smyrna does all my tuning. I live in Mississippi now and I still tow my car up there to have it tuned.
If you are still on your stock ecu, I have a Giles Tuned Greddy Emanage Ultimate with plug and play harness that I can sell you. I was running this when my car was only a street car and when I started tracking it also. It would be plug and play since it already has a tune on it. As long as you have a high flow cat or test pipe, you can use this. My car has an intake and exhaust also. The difference is significant with a tune. My car gained 18 whp in the mid range with the Giles tuned emu and the power was much smoother.
