I'm looking to get a PPI on a car in Austin. What are some shops/mechanics that I can have the owner send the car to to get the inspection done and then sent back to me (I live in Georgia).

This may be unorthodox, but I would be willing to do it for you.

I have two S2000's, do all the work on my own. I am familiar with common problems on these cars. One of mine is a very low mileage '06, and the other is a high mileage '02. The '02 was beat on a bit in its previous life, so I also have a good benchmark for how high-wear drivetrain components "feel" compared to low mileage components.

I can spot signs of previous mods, body repair, as well as the typical mechanical stuff you'd want to look for.

If the owner brought the car to my house, I could do the inspection while he waited. I would take detailed notes and pictures to support my findings, and send them to you (and the owner if you wished) to help you in your decision and negotiation.

I assure you my writeup, pictures, and evaluation would be much more through and detailed than a typical 'lemon busters' service.
