Default Paint and body shop in Houston

My car got keyed and top cut on passenger side. Lots of fingerprints/smudge marks that look like someone may have tried to unlock it.

This is the first time anything has happened like this so I'm at a loss of what my next step is. Do I call the cops? Will they even care or just call insurance company? Insurance is Geico if that matters. The only panel they didn't key was the front passenger fender, rear bumper cover. I'm a little reluctant to report it to insurance for fear they will total it out. My paint was near flawless too.

2006 NFR, 39k miles.

I really don't want to cheap out on paint so shop recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm relatively new to Houston so I don't have any car friends to ask.

I believe the proper steps are to Call the police and make a police report. Then call the insurance company. It will in fact go on your car fax record FYI.

I have all my stuff done by Dave at Pristine Custom paint and auto body.

Good luck and keep us updated.

I gave them a call. I may try to get one or two more quotes before I decide. Spring is a 25-35 minute drive for me.

Welcome to Houston where a 30+ minute drive to a destination is perfectly normal. If you can't get used to this then you're gonna have a bad time. I'm not gonna let that drive limit me to only bodyshops around the corner from me. Hell I drive 45 mins just to go eat on Bellaire all the time.

Truth! my daily commute to and from work is appx 80 miles. not including if I drive to lunch. Cypress to Stafford Daily.

Miles are smiles. and I want all of them.

I had my front bumper re-painted by Marco from My Collision Center. He fixed all the holes and cracks that it had. He also fixed and painted my cousin's front end. He paints pretty good and his prices are reasonably cheaper than anyone in my area. My bumper came out amazing!!
