drove most of the ben wheeler drive today except we went down 773 and took 315 almost to Palestine 245 miles in all just me and snodd it was a blast I can only imagine the trouble I would get in if I lived close to the dragon or 3 sisters around the Frio or Boston mountains . hopefully I can pickup a trailer next year so we can go to the dragon as its too far in the s2k not enough storage.

I have made new end plates for the gt250 wing and large rear bumper canards. also made spacers for the lower front balljoints to plant the front tires better and stop the inside of the front tires from overheating so far so good I did this a few months ago but figured I would post it in case anyone wants to do the same. I have a multiport meth injection system I plan to install when I get time to do it along with edfc for the compression side of my gruppe-s coilovers for more control on the move.

So far on a 75 degree day driving at 90+ for 20 miles 206 was as high as oil temp got. before it would have been 220 and I have seen 245f on a group drive.
Is 206F high enough for oil temperature? Won't that leave condensate water in the oil? I've read that 220F should be the minimum with 230F-250F being the desired range. The stock oil cooler was an oil-to-water unit sandwiched between the oil filter and the engine; others are available on the aftermarket.. The advantage of that setup is they usually maintain an oil temp 30F hotter than the water.

I find 210-220 ideal as the fuel and water will evaporate in 30 minutes or less.it keep the oil from sheering down as the blower is hard on oil. I am using royal purple xrp 10-40 racing oil and it holds pressure better than amsoil lubramoly Valvoline and Castrol of the same weight all synthetic. I also change oil ever 3000 miles or so due to fuel blowby with 18 psi its just part of the deal. when I was running close to 250f I was seeing a loss in oil pressure of 10-15 psi and I was cooking off quit a bit of oil like water on the stove evaporates even if its not boiling.
