Talking

Just a quick bump as I've followed this thread for a while. My interpretation of "fit" is flush fitting, up to a max of 17 inch with the appropriate offset and within the ET limit so as not to fender roll.
Owned a few cars in my years and this without doubt is the hardest car to buy alloys for.

But if anyone can source some BBS RGR's or LM's in 17" for under £1500, ignore the majority of the above

You probably are better off asking others to contribute. There's also a load of threads on the U.S. side of the site.

I use Enkei PF01 which are a quality wheel in correct offset of 8" +50 and 9" +60. 235 / 255 tyres.

Mark is correct; most others are plain wrong.

Well, that you can have 9J at 50ET at the rears tells you that this thread is not finished.

Not to be obtuse, but I'm actively looking to replace my ageing wheels and it's a nightmare if you don't like the styles available or don't have £2k to spend on alloys alone.

Also, if you are sourcing gear from the states, the tax you'll pay is horrific. Which is why it makes sense to see if there's anything relevant to UK owners at a fair price.

willtheyfit.com will help you with checking if the offset for any new wheel is suitable.

helpful, yet it STILL misses the critical measurements - offset and backset.

Still, for those who CGAF about offset, backset clearance conflicts can most easily be resolved by removing those troublesome brake calipers.

Thumbs up

May not be to everyone's taste, but I got these Enkei NT03+M from Cyberspeeds. Didn't think they were available here at first. They're a square fitment which is probably more of an American thing but its the way I wanted it, the extra grip all round from the 2" wider wheels is massive.

Specs are: 18 x 9.5 et40 w/ Arches rolled / bumper tab relocated (as of now the the front arches are slightly pulled due to fitting bigger tyres. I have 255/35/18 on the read and 245/35/18 on the front)

Also to clear another thing up, the arches are all rolled / pulled on original paint with no cracking or rusting, It can be done.

In terms of rubbing, I only get rubbing on full lock due to the ride height of the car.

225/40/18 tyres fit no problem with only rolled arches, no pull needed and no rubbing at all.

Just letting you know what I know as there is a lot of bad information regarding wheels, tyres and arch rolling online.

The arches on mine were done by 'arch enemy' apparently.

I reckon i could have done it neater by strapping a lump hammer to my cock and trying to **** the car

awful
