Default Brake Pedal Side to side movement

I noticed recently that my brake pedal has about an Inch of side to side play, Is this normal?

Or should i be solid like the Clutch and Accelarator pedals are?

I'm still unsure what is acceptable play, Could you send me the the spare pedal if i pay the shipping just so i can compare it to mine? I'm guessing it has some form of bushing that it pivots in and this this must be faulty in mine. Its quite easy to wiggle the pedal left to right and it certainly doesnt feel solid :S

I have a reinforced Spoon B-Pedal box in stock if you are interested. I use one on my DC2 race car and it made a huge difference to the pedal feel:

Im not sure ill need a spoon one cuz i dont really do much track driving. Cheers for the reply though.

Here are 2 videos of how much play there is in my pedal. Can anyone compare it to thier own and let me know if mine seems excessive?

It would appear a tad excessive yes. My MY08 has 5-10mm play when pressed to the right, absolutely none to the left.
Is it affecting the drivability of the car? Can you notice the pedal moving around when you go for the brakes?
If not and its operating correctly i would put it down to excessive wear on the top pivot pin.
Replace the pedal ?
