Managed to get the front wings off relatively easily today which revealed that I have a nackered shock! Normally this would have annoyed me a treat but I'm at the stage where I have pretty much come to expect to find more horrors every day I work on the car!
The front wings will need replacing as they have gone rusty on the inside face. The wire wheel however works pretty well. I think the one I have is a little too soft, it cuts through the under seal really well without leaving any actual bare metal, but isn't man enough for the heavy rust.
Plan now now is to remove all the underseal then get sandblasting on the heavy rust.

I agree you are doing a very good job there, I have to say though that going by the pictures you have posted I don't think you will ever get rid of all the rust as there is just so much of it, you have a huge undertaking on your hands and I wish you well.

Yeah it's a big job. Once the underseal is all removed and I can get a good idea of the rust then it will be sent to the body shop. It's annoying as there are a lot of people that wouldn't care about these things and would drive about and love the car! Then there's me who gets annoyed that the a single trim clip is missing! I'm also annoyed that I paid top money for it too! If it was a 6k car then I would expect some rust here and there. I just can't understand how there is so much in very specific areas but the rest of the car is mint?!
Master cylinder stopper is a small brace that stops bulk head flex when you press the brake. In all honesty there isn't that much flex in the s2000 but my dc2 would move almost an inch!

Its in areas where it happens all the time, salty water/dirt build up behind the rear mud guards, rear plastic "speed" guards and underneath the front arch. If the arch liners were left/not regularly cleaned on it would be there too.
