WOT anything in from 11.0 to 12.0 is okay but partial throttle you don't want richer than 13.0 ideally - these are not perfect figures as partial throttle should really be fluctuating between high 13's high 14's.

It would take a bit of doing to get bore wash but can happen an overly rich condition kills wideband sensors etc quickly too.

All that needs altered is lag time/flow rating offset etc for the injectors and possibly a fuel removed in partial throttle, IIRC the AEM has an AFR target map but for WOT.

Note its normal for the car to idle high and run rich until its warmed up, particular in the first minute or so.

Mattie, if you run an a very light throttle the management runs in closed loop( whatever that means) so in theory it should be ok.

I'm pretty sure that the AEM ecu doesn't do closed loop self mapping. There is a menu option for it but I don't think it works on the series one at least. There was talk about the series having this option enabled but id say a majority of tuner won't use this method as a wide band sensor failure would result In engine damage.

The standard ecu does this, if he using an AEM it will be using various tables of inputs from sensors for individual fuel trim and ignition maps.

you can do this but in case of failure you have a problem still if its a particular low value ie failed you can do something about it but i was talking about open loop (WOT). Looked at the S2 and its quite a bit different than the S1, but don't ask me too much as i simply don't know I'm used to DTA/MOTEC/GEMU etc

Well it's mapped. Goes like a train, on this dyno it's gone from 225bhp with full exhaust, manifold, spoon throttle body, PW:JDM and Aem. Now with the charger it's 440bhp. These are all engine figures. He has done a very safe map.

I don't have a wideband and we couldn't see if we could get the narrowband to do o2 feedback so no feedback at the moment. Still drives really well. All in all I'm over the moon.

Oh it's running the full 18psi.
