Quick MOT question - headlamp washers - Fail if present and not working, what if they're removed but it's obvious it used to have them (hole in bumper) Is that a fail / advisory? Or fine?

General consensus is:

If present they must work.

If not present then it doesn't matter.

Mine went through the MOT ok today, only a minor hiccup, I had not checked to see if the Bridgestone's were directional and had not replaced the wheels on the same sides I removed them from, so uncannily both front and rears going in the wrong direction, doh !!
And just an advisory on a little surface corrosion on rear brake pipes.

Passed with no advisories.
Only ever had one advisory for rear pads getting low in the 5 years I've had it.
Mind you, it is an 05 with only 49,000 on the clock...
