Sound of Water gushing under the car when pressing the gas!
Hi All,
Recently, when starting the car, I get a gushing sound of water underneath the car when I press the gas, even slightly and even when the car is stationary!??
Tried to search for possible reasons.. couldnt find anything constructive. Any Ideas?
Thanks
H.

It's water pooling in the back boxes of the exhausts.
Give it a good long high revving run 40 mins plus should get rid of it.

Maybe a rattling heat shield over the cat too.
Sennas right though, I took the back of teh R26 system off for an upgrade and the rear silencer had ONE PINT of water in it LOL!

Really? wouldnt it evaporate after a long time, given the temp of the exhaust? The water noise is there consistently. Now matter how long Ive driven, if I rev the car, you hear the water gush underneath!
something to do with Coolant? or headgasket?? Havnt noticed any over heating..

Unless you have an airlock in the coolant system, but i'f be surprised if that was the noise. Does the heater work ok?

It is definitely water Im hearing.. can't be mistaken for a rattle.
Havnt listened to it from the outside, so cant say how it sounds.
No changes to heating or running temperature.
Guess it might be water in the exhaust..
but sure as hell doesnt sound healthy!
Thanks anyway.
