If you can generate me a DXF, I'll happily get them lasered. I don't do the CAD side or run the machine myself, but i have plenty of people who can do it for me

I'm still keen to hear har-veys quote but sounds like numbers are dwindling if it's over a ton. Lower's offer is very generous and worth pursuing but what are the likely costs of the welding?

Could this be my chance to learn some welding...? **** no!

Welding onto a lazor cut flange is less than ideal as the flange will warp and won't be air tight when bolted up. If it was me I would weld the v band straight onto the side of the current plate and use the lazor cut flange as a blanking plate. That is if you choose to go down the welding route.

To put the "welding onto pipework" costs into perspective. Cost me £20 to get my Tial flange welded to the pipework on mine

if it's tig welded and the flange is 6mm+ it will be ok. You'd still need a gasket of some sort but the distortion would be minimal. If someone could source and supply me the tube, I could weld them too. I'd have to charge for that but it would be less than £28 per unit. I could supply them powder coated or plated too if required though the cost outdated go up by another £5-10 each for that.

Forgive my ignorance but would you not be able to mount a laser cut flange with a nut/bolt or using the pre threaded mount on the pipe already? Obv would need another gasket so one for each side?

Not wishing to knock back or 'offend' anyone offering to help out, just trying to understand what we could do that would resolve putting a bigger BOV on as cost effectively (cheap!) as possible without needing to weld.

Put mine in garage earlier. Will measure it tomorrow, unless Har-vey beats me to it.
