Tom did mine for £60 including labour, didn't look like the OP's, £400+ seems excessive

This is my worst Nightmare :0... I shopped around everyone local to me and eventually decided to do it my self because i feared they would do exactly this... Trap in all the corrosion...

Id be getting the Wallpaper scraper out immediately if it were my car...

Covering the underneath is one thing but why cut holes?

I'd be so gutted

I am in the process of getting mine done. I have also all the suspension arms and ARB sand blasted and power coated.

What do you recommend then for prevent rust and undercoat?

I have been told Kurust Rust remover is pretty good.. then any recommendation for a spray type undercoat protection? or is it better to use a brush?

Cost me £60-100 all in all. But that is a terrible job!! Drilling holes!! Spraying everything!! For the price you paid i would of wanted all my panels removed, cleaned, rust removed, treated and then Wax Oyl'd.

Time consuming, but very rewarding

I used a few wire brush attachments to my angle grinder to get as much rust off as possible. Then coated the worst areas in Hammerite Krust (2 coats). On ebay you can get the large Wax Oyl spray cans (5 for £20-25 iirc) id use them rather than a brush type. Its much easier and a much nicer finish!

Also had all my arms, subframes, diff and hubs done aswell. So worth it! I never wanted a concourse car, just a clean track car, but once i started i couldnt stop painting things that looked crappy

This is why I did my own restoration work,I've heard all that I've got 50 years experiance and then did a crap job......ask to see pictures of previous work...... the rust has just been covered up in this case
Not to mention the pain in the butt when you need to work on it.

Drilling holes to inject waxoyl is normal though the S2 has enough to negate the need.

Some of you chaps have done several days worth of labour there... nice work
