OEM alarm problem
So I bought my car used and it came with an aftermarket alarm. That one wasn't installed correctly or something so it kept eating up my battery until I decided to pull it out at the dealership. They replace the battery and pull the alarm last year and then they said they were having problems to sync my old remote transmitter to the car. They want me to pay more for further diagnostics. I decided I would just leave without one and get an OEM security system later. So I recently bought the OEM system, and turns out I already have one in the car. I thought maybe it wasn't working because it's old. So today I ripped everything out and installed the new OEM alarm in it's place. But when I'm done, I still can't sync the new remote transmitter to the new security system. I checked everything, every connector and all the wiring, and nothing seems to be out of place from the install guide.
So now I'm lost, I can either go back to the dealer and pay for them to check it out, or go to an alarm shop and have them check it out... Either way, I'm gonna end up paying extra... Any sugguestions? Know a good shop where I can finally end this problem?
