Default comptech esm wiring

sorry guys, i dunno if i should've kept the old thread or not but i got another question.

i found this esm wiring configuration:

Comptech ESM Red Wire (Power) -> ECU Pin 19 Yel/Red Wire
Comptech ESM Black Wire (GND) -> ECU Pin 7 Grn/Wht Wire

Comptech ESM Green Wire (Signal) -> ECU Pin 17 Grn/Red Wire
Comptech ESM Blue Wire (Signal) -> To MAP Sensor Grn/Red Wire

but that didn't specify to cut the map sensor wire. after i found another diagram:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/uploads/g...1091513337.jpg

in the second diagram, it said to cut the map sensor wire, is that necessary? and why? and also does it matter which wire is on which end (ecu-->green-->ecu-->blue-->map sensor)?

much appreciated, Thanks!

Sorry this is a late reply. I had the same issue and had to do alot of research. If you dont cut it, your car wont start. Well, either it wont start or the box will malfunction and you have to get a new one from split second like I did. Yes it does matter how the wires are connected. Follow the diagram exactly. This is a reply thats probably 2 weeks late so Im assuming you got it done. Hopefully you soldered em as the diagram states.

Its all in preference. Wire taps are fine but for me, I get more piece of mind and a better connection with solder.
