Default Hydrolocked

Anyone have experience with hydrolock? Ran into a puddle last week that hydrolocked the engine. Insurance will list it as collision not comprehensive. Is it normally listed as collision?
Can't really judge how deep the puddle nor see it on time and was forced on that lane with traffic.

If you drove into the water and the water wasn't going towards you. Then yes not comprehensive. Sorry to hear but what intake were you running?

Sounds like you were fording a creek, not running thru a puddle. The dangers of so-called cold air intakes that low are well known. As to how your insurance cover it? Let us know. You certainly hit/drove into something. Sounds like a collision to me.

Sorry to hear about this. Yes, it would be an at fault collision claim. Were you running an AEM intake?

Yes that was me. It was a puddle on a main street, perhaps a foot of water from the sewer being plugged with leaves. It's dark and raining hard so you can't really judge how deep it was and being forced on that lane made it tough. A guy with a gpw s2k stopped and helped me push it aside. Thanks! It's an aem intake.
The block is cracked. Does anyone have a contact at garage 5? They are sourcing an engine from them but I like to get more details on this f20.
