I'm still very tempted to take the 2K since the noise doesn't bother me and it provides valuable clues as to how the car is doing. I almost never switch on the radio/CD player, so that won't be a problem. A good friend of mine has shown that with a bit of care you can get sufficient luggage in the car for two people on an extended trip ... you just need to find a laundromat now and then.

Don't be a wimp! If I can get 4 pairs of girl shoes, dresses, jeans, tshirts, sweaters etc and a couple of things for the husband, along with a cooler, coffee pot & breakfast stuff in there & still have room for 20lbs of apples & 4 bottles of wine, surely you can pack enough for a few weeks away! You just need to think outside the suitcase. Perhaps I need to make a youtube video? Years of 2 up touring on a motorcycle gave me superb packing skills!

LOL! . I've pretty well decided that the 2K it is!
All I need is the time, which shouldn't be a problem. And the excuse to make the trip has long been in place

Three years ago I drove my AP1 from Baltimore, MD to the Lower Mainland on the Easter Weekend. The average Temp. was maybe 5 Deg., C. the car was lowered and custom Exhaust and yes, 90% top down. I had nobody to complain to, so I didn't. Last September my Son and I drove in the AP2 to LA and back, no complaints either, just smiles on our faces. Just go for it and enjoy that great car!

I must say, "great car" is an understatement

Even on this cold, wet, nasty day I look at the 2K sitting in the carport and think to myself "those poor souls who don't own one".
