Long road trips in a 2K

Interesting comments.
I'm still very tempted to take the 2K since the noise doesn't bother me and it provides valuable clues as to how the car is doing. I almost never switch on the radio/CD player, so that won't be a problem. A good friend of mine has shown that with a bit of care you can get sufficient luggage in the car for two people on an extended trip ... you just need to find a laundromat now and then.

Three years ago I drove my AP1 from Baltimore, MD to the Lower Mainland on the Easter Weekend. The average Temp. was maybe 5 Deg., C. the car was lowered and custom Exhaust and yes, 90% top down. I had nobody to complain to, so I didn't. Last September my Son and I drove in the AP2 to LA and back, no complaints either, just smiles on our faces. Just go for it and enjoy that great car!

Even on this cold, wet, nasty day I look at the 2K sitting in the carport and think to myself "those poor souls who don't own one".
