Who lives on the Island

I just moved to Victoria from Halifax. I have a 2002 Berlina Black s2000 currently - higher mileage project at the moment. Previously I had a 2006 Suzuka Blue that I may buy back in the next year or so (has approx 50k kms currently). Look forward to meeting some other owners around and working on the project car! I just did the drive from Halifax to Vic in 3.5 days in it as well - it was quite enjoyable the entire way with the top down.... Basically got to experience all the seasons across Canada!
Cheers,
Evan

Welcome to BC, Evan, from another transplanted Maritimer.
I am seriously considering driving to NS next summer for a lengthy vacation with my relatives (Halifax/B'water/Kentville/Truro) in my 2K. Did you find the trip tiring? How many hours/day did you drive?
Potholes notwithstanding, lots of the back roads in NS are just made for the S2K ! (More fun than the 100-series hwys)

The drive was pretty tiring, I did much more aggressively than I could have, some days I did 18 hours. The drive itself was very comfortable though - the weather cooperated for the most part - It only rained heavy for about 4 hours total on the trip - which I had to have the top up. Other than that some flurries and light rain wasn't an issue with the top down. I left Halifax Sunday morning first thing - and I made the 2pm ferry out of Vancouver on Wednesday. 3 Overnights along the way in Petawawa - Dryden - Calgary. The roads overall were quite good - a bit of construction through the mountains as well as Northern Ontario.

Hello Vancouver Island S2K owners! My name is Matt, live in Nanaimo and own a 2007 NFR S2000. This is my second S2000, my first was a 2003 Rio Yellow back in 2008 and I have had my NFR since 2012. I have used these forums with awesome results and can't thank you all enough for the tremendous amount of information that has been presented and collected over the years. So after 10 years of ownership why join S2KI today after all this time? Well...this is my first forum, my first post and feel like I have something to give back to the S2000 community. There are less S2000's on the road today then yesterday so why not be part of the elite group who own one of the best N.A cars ever built!

Victoria owner checking in...
My S2K is very new to me -- purchased in summer '20, so I'm looking forward to my first full season of driving! I absolutely can't wait, and gaze longingly at the car in the garage pretty much every day. Not much longer now, but in the meantime I have been getting my hands dirty with odd jobs and maintenance. This weekend is valve adjustment
Would be great to meet up with some other owners here in Victoria once the pandemic situation allows.
