Default Advan AD08R Stretch Sizing?

I need to run a stretched setup on a 18x10.5" wheel, but still want to use a high-performance and quality tire. I have my sights set on the Advan AD08Rs but it's always hard to gauge how different tires of the same sizes will vary in terms of the their fitment. So my question is, to anyone who has experience with this tire, does it run on the fatter side and what are the characteristics of its sidewall? Does the sidewall bulge out or does it stay nice and flat?

For reference, I'm looking to run a 255/35 on the wheels so I need a sidewall that will be flat and not all rounded-out like the cheap Federals, for example.

I know that the Hankook RS3s stretch rather nicely from personal experience.

They run wide and have a flatter sidewall if i recall. mangaspawn has some 255/40/17 on some 10" wheels he might throw a pic of if he is feeling generous, which will give you an idea. However 255/35/18 could be completely different shape sidewall height aside, hard to say. Id look up the spec sheet on these two tires to get a section width comparison between 17"-18" and look for any irregularity between their 255's.

Yeah you can see pics in my build thread linked in my sig. The shorter sidewall changes things though. For the 255/40/17 they do run pretty wide but can't say for the 18's.

Its the same as its always been, but this stupid site change has enhanced its visibility and agree its annoying. Ive tried to modify it, but wont let me unless I basically delete it and start over, so ive been putting it off for now.

From looking at the pics in your build thread, it does appear that the AD08Rs run noticeably wide... which has me concerned.

Versus 255/40/17 Hankook RS3s on a 10":

I'm not sure if the AD08Rs are the right choice exactly for what I'm trying to achieve, because I know the space is going to be VERY tight and having a tire with a fat/wide sidewall might be enough to cause clearance issues. Does anyone have any recommendations on other good, high performance tires that might fit the stretch bill better?

How about the Dunlop ZIIs, what's the sidewall like on those?

Nitto NT05. I just picked up a set of 275/40 and they are the same width as my old 255 kuhmo xs. If the 275 is any indication, their 255 is going to be somewhere between a 235-245 spec width.

Is the 10.5 going on the front or rear, or both?

What's the offset? That will give us a better idea of what your actual fitment limitations are.

Thanks. From reading this thread: Nitto NT05 Review - MY350Z.COM Forums it does appear that the NT05s run a bit on the smaller side. Now the question is, how do the NT05s compare in terms of performance versus the ZIIs, RS3s, and AD08Rs?

Don't worry about that, this actually isn't even going on a S2K I just like this forum for its wheel and tire knowledge so I've always been consulting it...

I am still curious to know how the ZIIs fit/stretch before I strike it off the list.

Right now, the NT05s and RS3s seem to be the top choices.
