You think those wheels could be refinished back to excellent condition or not?

Yes definitely, they are just a painted wheel, so no issues refinishing them. I would avoid powdercoating as these are forged wheels, I would not subject them to excessive heat used in that process, regular painting is better for these rims IMO.

Will call up HMO for the $599 set, but if those need to get refinished too... Eek.

Wheel refinishing around here (CA) seems to be $75-100/wheel!

+1. Def just repaint. And since I believe the color of them is Kaiser silver, should be fairly easy to get correct color matching.

looks like set on HMO seems good condition. Dont seem like they need refinishing. And $75-100 is cheap. Here in Tx average price is starting at $125 per wheel.

Yeah I paid $125 per wheel to get mine painted, that included bead blasting the old finish off, primer, and several coats of paint, and clearcoat . I got the barrels painted in addition to the front faces, so the entire wheel was done, tire removal and reinstallation and balancing included. A bit costly but the extra time spent on prep has paid off in terms of durability.

Kaiser Silver is the OEM CR wheel. Do what you want but I don't think the OEM BBS are Kaiser Silver.

I had a set of OEM Ap2 v3 rims that I had refinished. I remember people mentioning Kaiser silver, but I couldn't find Kaiser silver anywhere at the time. It didn't really matter though as there are lots of nice silvers out there. Just pick a nice silver colour from any vehicle that you like, then give the paint colour name to a paint shop and they can find the paint codes. You can also search paint codes on the internet once you have a paint name from a vehicle manufacturer. I did that when I changed my current rims to blue, I had them painted Deep Ocean Blue which is a GM paint colour from the Chevy Silverado trucks.

When I refinished my JDM Ap1 BBS rims the first time with a silver paint colour, I picked a silver colour from a chart that my paint guy had. I just picked the silver shade that looked good to me, and I went with a lighter shade vs. a darker shade. They turned out great , we had the rim faces painted silver and the barrels painted black. I changed to a blue colour later down the road. I wish I could have one set of each, lol.

What size spacer did you need for them to fit with the spoon calipers?
