Ap2 stock size wheels and tires. Educate me properly

If you call a C/R front s/b a modified suspension, well I guess I also modified my car because I don't run stock 16 year old tires.
My point is you don't have to be limited to 215/225 front and 245/255 rear in a 45/40 series unless your lowered. I load my S down with 480 lbs. when we travel and I have not rubbed anywhere.

I started running "CR-spec" 215x45/255x40 tires on my 2006 street car last summer. OEM suspension. No issues noted. These are on Einke wheels, of course, that Honda put on the car at the factory.

Of coarse it is modifying your car if you put a different sway bar in. Even if it is an OEM sway bar from a different model. You still changed suspension components out. A sway bar is not a wear item tires are and comparing them is completely irrelevant. The title of the thread is "AP2 stock size wheels and tires" not "what other size options do people run on AP2 wheels." The OEM AP2 sizes are 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 (255/40/17 on the CR). As Junky said if your tires work for your application then great! That however was not the question nor are they a common plus size option like the 225/255 others provided.

Funny we clearly do since the question was still asked despite the info being available in a sticky at the top of this forum.

I’m currently running Michelin PS4S stock size on AP2 V2 wheels. I’m looking at getting some AP2 V3 wheels. For spirited street use, would you recommend just swaping the tires over or maybe get some new Michelins in 225 front / 255 rear?

If you have good tires 215/245 is plenty. 225/255 is basically all placebo for street driving.

Placebo but those 255s look good from the rear! Surprising the difference the additional not-quite 1/2" width makes -- or maybe that's seeing what I want to see?
AP2V2 wheels are "proper" for a 2007 but I've always wanted to at least try AP2V3 wheels for the cosmetic update. Haven't seen them on the market in a couple of years though.

I mean it's a sticky for a reason.
I currently have the placebo 225/255 stagger for my Conti ECS since the 215/245 looked slightly stretched on it and now it has the look I prefer for my daily tires.
