Default Got some AP1V1 wheels... need some suggetions on what's next

Hey all - I picked up some AP2v1 wheels (with 100% garbage/worthless tires) for a total of $240.

They are rough. Pics are here.

My next steps are where im torn. I called around Kansas City, $150 per wheel to have them refinished to look OEM/new. Is this a good price? I'll at least need to have 2 of the 4 touched up, i could live with the other 2 having a few scuffs.I know knockoff wheels can run $100 a wheel. A couple local guys have the Ap2v1 china wheels and havent had any issues after having them a few years.

Just wondering if this group had any thoughts!

Yeah those are pretty beat. If they can truly make them look oem fresh then $150 isn't bad since the machined face requires more work than just painting them would. Did you ask anyplace about just painting them or powder coating them? Not sure if you would want a different color but places around me charge around $350-400 to powder coat a set of wheels as long as it is a single stage color. You may want to ask in your local subforum if there is a shop people have used in your area for this type of thing and what they paid.

I highly doubt any shop would re machine the faces, so you won't get a truly OEM looking finish. Nice wheel refinishing costs money, more than $150/wheel in a lot of instances. For one piece stock wheels just find a shop to sandblast and paint them(probably around $300), or you could just have them sandblasted (probably around $100/set) and do the paint work yourself. There are millions of diys on the internet, and having them sandblasted will save you hours and hours of prep and stripping the old finish.
