I think the new tread pattern looks great. Simple and likely effective if their predecessor is any indication of their performance. Flames are just too campy for my taste.

I think the RS3 was a fantastic all around performance tire with a great wear cycle. The flames? I can do without that gimmick. Admittedly though, they were starting to fall behind in the competition category. The good news is it looks like they weren't content playing second or third fiddle. The new RS4's tread pattern seems much more clean in its approach; its lines purposeful. Turns out the flames weren't necessary.

Translation: After researching and comparing all the apples to oranges, I'm ordering a squared set up of RS4's in a 255 today. Looking forward to running them at my first track event of the season.

too bad tire rack hasnt tested them yet. i just sucked it up and ordered because i liked the rs3 and it lasted a while. i also heard its going to be faster than the rs3 so should be able to give the RE71R a run for its money before that gets updated

I bought a set too. Not sure why i was anxious to rush out and buy a set of untested tires other than the experience i had with the RS3.

I'll probably be purchasing these. I wanted to get the R-S3s on the closeout sale but they ran out of the 225s that I wanted to use in the front. Unless I do 255 square...

The rs3 were being out preformed everywhere. I got faster lap times on nexan tires vs rs3. Hopefully the rs4 would compete against its rivals very well. The rs3 was known for its longevity, hopefully this one dosent disappoint.
