I found a really nice set of wheels on Craigslist for a pretty fair price with brand new tires on it, and although my calculations believe it will have no problems on the rear, I am a little worried about the fronts because I know they are very different sized tires. I have an AP1, for reference.

the tire size is 235/45/17, is there any way this set up could work without any modifications? Was thinking it might need spacers on the fronts? I am sorry if this has been talked about before, I dug around and couldn't find anything about matching tire sets of this size and I am very stupid when it comes to tire fitting beyond the basics. Thank you!

255/40s fit on the front of my 2006 with stock suspension and no fender modifications. They rubbed the fender liners a little at full lock.

Shouldn't be a problem on stock height I have done no modificationto the rear tab or my front fenders and have 255/40/17 square on a 17x9 +63

It all depends on the width and offset of the wheels. Most likely, offset will be too low and spacers would just make it worse. Tire sizes are not ideal either. It is almost impossible to make anything other than a S2000 specific fitment work for a good non-staggered setup.

You can run same size all around, but I wouldn't do anything less than 245/40/17 on 9" wheels. You would need an offset around +60.

That's if he doesn't want to roll fenders and relocate tab. I run a 9"+48 no issues. I do agree with you they are probably low offsets and wrong width. Not really an ideal tire choice performance wise either. I would keep looking OP.

thanks for everyone's help, I asked the seller for the offset and width of the wheels just to see if they might work. Otherwise, I will be passing on this set.. But damn they're nice!

I don't know where they belong, but definitely not on my S2000.

I run 235/45-17 up front on my stock '06 and have never had a problem with rubbing but this is with stock '06 wheels.
