How is the fitment with 100% stock fenders and stock suspension with a really wide 255/40R17 and the 17x9 +60 PF01s? I've noticed some of the hot street tires are getting wider and wider, and I would rather go with a wide 255/40 than stepping to a 235/40 with the small sidewall. Seems like 245/40 is not as popular a size as it once was with a lot of brands, which would be a nice compromise. Specifically I'm looking at some Federal 595 RS-RRs as a cheap street tire.
So I'm a bit concerned that a really wide 255 could get me into the same trouble people run into with lower offset wheels and needing to bend up fender tabs, get liners out of the way etc.
I don't want to have to mess with the fenders or fender liners at all if possible (goes against the whole purpose of this build). Usage will be some street, quite a bit of track.

Just bought them from a friend this winter. Haven't driven on them yet.
They are 17x9 +60 square, my friend who owned them before bent his front tab up and tucked the liner above the lip.

Anyone on 18" here? I have a buddy with a clean S2000 looking for a new set of wheels.
I's lowered but not stupid low, he's looking for 18" but he doesn't want to roll fenders. I told him the PF01's are S2000 friendly but I'm not sure what the best sizes are in 18".
Of course the wider lip is prefered for both front and back (if possible?).
Anyone who can help him with the sizes he needs? And maybe tire sizes?

So... which is better?
17x9+60 (all around)
OR
17x9+60 (rear)
17x8+50 (front)
I dont track, or drive hard much, just beach drives with the wife. My main concern is that I would like to have less aggressive fender roll.

I have 4 PF01SS 17x9 +48,
The rear is fine with 245. Have not try 255 yet. I did small roll all 4 corners.
I wish I have +60 in the front. +48 is sticking out a bit too much for 245 square. I might have to go 235 in front.

I would go with square set up if you want to run the same size tire.
stock size tire do the stagger.

OK,
So I re-read the whole thread and did some research. I am going to go most likely with staggered:
17x9+60 (rear)
17x8+50 (front)
I will eventually run 225/255 tires, but for now I will use my stock 215/245 tires until they run out. The car will see mild street use (not daily driver).
If any of you experts see something wrong with my planned set-up above, please let me know!!!
