I know nothing about guitars, but that one looks pretty. Glad it made it to you safely!

This will be a fun weekend...

Tonight I am going to a friend's Bourbon County party. It is the second one he has hosted. The goal of these parties is to get rid of all of his 2015 BCBS, as Goose Island recalled (and refunded) multiple bottling dates of most of last year's variants of BCBS due to a bacteria strain that soured the beers. I was fully refunded for my infected beers from last year, but not all of them tasted "off." However, many were starting to "turn." That is exactly what happened at the first of these parties; we dumped 6-8 completely soured bottles, but we also went through at least 3 full cases... There may also be a third round... Needless to say, tonight will be fun!

We will be celebrating my dad's birthday tomorrow, which will likely include some target shooting. I will be heading up to Milwaukee Sunday to drop by my alma mater, visit with Charlie, and race at Veloce Indoor Speedway with a sizable group of autocross/track friends; then I will be heading back to IL for an autocross awards banquet in the evening.

What do you all have planned for the weekend?

A whole bunch of nothing here. Going to Milwaukee Sunday morning to go see a Holocaust survivor speak, putting snow tires/wheels on my daily & general winter cleaning. May help a friend take parts off of his Miata so he can refurb them over the winter.

Karting sounds fun! I'm going to K1 in Buffalo Grove in a few weeks to go karting with a big group of guys I know through drifting. Always look forward to that this time of year.

Semi-related to weekend discussion, I've been asked to drive my aunt & cousins to Minneapolis, staying up their from Friday night through Sunday and driving them back. What is there to do in the Twin Cities? I went once as a small child, but nothing recently.

Sounds like fun, Anthony.

I have no plans for this weekend. So I should study for my Spanish class. I should sort my range brass. I will play some Skyrim.

That is a beautiful piece man. I don't know much about guitars so I will freely admit I wouldn't appreciate it. That being said, I do appreciate passion. I'd love to hear you play that someday.

I did not study any Spanish. I did sort the range brass, and cleaned up all the 9mm. Ready to reload. I played a TINY amount of Skyrim. I also saw Fantasic Beasts. I thought it was pretty good.

We raked leaves this weekend. It sucked. My arms and legs still hurt.

Stupid trees.

Thanks everybody! I spent some time playing around with it this weekend. It's super cool. It does need some work, though -- basically, nice guitars have a lot of capacity to be set up in order to match the preferences, technique and style of the person playing it. I changed to thinner strings than the previous owner, and that's thrown some things all out of whack (tolerances are very fine on instruments like this) so it's going to have to spend some time with a luthier to get everything right again. After that's done I'll try my hand at shooting some videos so ya'll can hear the crazy number of sounds it can make.

Bucks game tonight, courtesy of one of our vendors -- should be fun!
