It's possible it leaked to below where the leak is. Try rocking the car to get more to spill out. or top it off with a SPLASH or two of fuel.

I guess I need to jack the car up and take a peek.

That's the problem though, I'm not certain if the puddle thing was there before or not. I'm hoping to get home early enough this evening to put it up on jack stands and take a peek.

It's fuel. I found the leak this evening. Going to be a royal pita to replace the part.

Awesome.

well, glad you found it -- better to have an answer than a phantom fuel problem on your hands.

Definitely. It was pretty obvious once I put the car up on jack stands.

I've found the part I need, but their site is having issues so I can't order it. Grrr.

I had a fuel leak into the trunk (all over the battery, which was awesome by itself) of my Alfa. The padding and carpet were saturated and the smell of fuel lasted for MONTHS. It was pretty aweful.

That had to suck, getting that fuel smell off of fabric is a major pita.

I ended up ordering a piece of hose online, I was really hoping I could find something locally but nada so far.

Think I fixed it but won't know for sure until in the morning.

Pics of the old hose and new hose installed. It took forever for the gas to drain as there isn't a drain plug, so I cleaned and polished the original clamps. I was bored
