VW to Join Honda as IRL Engine Supplier?

The Indy Racing League for many years is using just one engine supplier so Indy cars are running only with a Honda engine. The racing teams run them, and usually returns them to Honda for a rebuild and then they are back on track. However this could change after the year of 2010. Following an IRL meeting, with representatives of several major manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Fiat, Mazda and VW, it looks like that things are about to change. Perhaps Volkswagen is willing to offer more and will join Honda since their contract with IRL is due to expire after 2010.
