Honda delays start of operations of new auto plant in Yorii

The new auto plant which is under construction in Yorii, Saitama is planned to delay the start of operations as announced by Honda. Although it was scheduled to start the operations on 2010, since December 2008 the market slowdown is putting Honda plans to delay the start of operations for one more year.

The new auto plant in Yorii will employ various advanced technologies to establish high-quality and highly-efficient manufacturing systems and will be responsible for sharing such technologies to other Honda operations worldwide.
