An American car enthusiast, Paul Karassik, discovered the one of only three D-types racer cars known to exist, the “number 19”. This is Hitler’s favourite car driven by Fuhrer’s friend, Hans Stuck in the Grand Prix of the year 1939. When the Russian army took over Berlin at the end of the war, all Silver Arrows cars were shipped to Moscow to be reversed engineered and almost all of them were destroyed, so this also another good reason to expect that this car might fetch 8.9 million dollars to an auction this August.
