Honda China: An increase in annual production

Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. sales results, have been increased with sales reaching 109,000 units for January to July 2009. That is an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period a year ago. The auto-plant located at Wuhan, Hubei Province, held a ceremony to celebrate the production of the new Spirior, a model that will offer new value of a premium sporty sedan for sedan buyers in China. Annual production capacity of Dongfeng Honda will be expanded to 200,000 units. For the record, Honda’s auto-plant has been producing the CR-V model since April 2004 and Civic model since 2006. Honda will continue strengthening its production and sales capabilities in China, where continuous growth is expected.
