Honda CEO, Takanobu Ito, revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009 that Honda would consider to build “green” sports cars in the future that would represent the technology of Honda. He also mentioned that he made the decision to stop the development of the NSX successor. He did point out that the approach of the first NSX was “easy to drive, good performance and at the same time it enjoyed very good fuel economy”. In other words if we would expect a very special sports car, that would have to offer something innovative as the NSX did in the past.
