Today, on behalf of S2KI members, we have made a $2,500 cash donation to Doctors Without Borders, a non-governmental volunteer aid organization providing emergency medical aid to the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.
The scale of the tragedy in Haiti following the 7.0 earthquake earlier this week is truly mind blowing. The entire capital city of 2 million has been completely destroyed, the government has almost completely collapsed, all of the hospitals needed to treat the hundreds of thousands of people in need of urgent medical care has been destroyed. There is no power, no water and no food and estimates of dead range from 50,000 to over 100,000.
I encourage you to donate whatever you can to a people who need it most. You can donate to DWB as we did or you can choose your own way to make a difference but please do what you can.
Thank you and our best wishes and hopes go out to those suffering unimaginable disaster.
