Every week we’ll introduce you, videos from around the globe for your pleasure and entertainment. Of course those videos will be related to the Honda S2000 and the S2KI community, bringing up a good reason for discussion through your weekend. It is no coincidence that we have nominated Friday to be the Video of the Week day.
In this first series of videos, we bring to your screen the interesting battle between the WRC EVO and the J’s Racing S2000 that took place in the Touge. One of the most favorite battle stations you could say through all these years. Although the cars’ setup is different, the result depends to the drivers style as well. In this video, the WRC EVO gets beaten on both runs with no surprise to be honest. After all, we have explained already in a previous article why the S2000 is better that an EVO.

A Cool video, but it’s a stupid comparison. 12″ wheel gaps and gravel tires vs. a tuned s2000 on REO1R’s? Pretty weak sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love my s2K (and owned a FAST 1g AWD Turbo DSM) but you need to at least run them on the same tires to have a close race.

Really? I know this is an S2K forum, but that’s pretty apples and oranges. I too have owned both cars (Evo and S2K) are both great performers that are totally different beasts.
I mean, why not put the J’s S2k on a WRC rally stage and see how it does it?
Totally apples to oranges, and I honestly expected a little more from S2ki, especially with the parting shot of “we have explained already in a previous article why the S2000 is better that an EVO.”

really, we’re knocking the article, s2ki.com, the writer of this article, or even the video. Let’s ride the @$$ of whoever thought they could beat a tuned s2k with a rally set-up wrx on a touge circuit. That’s gotta be some c0cky SOB.
I don’t see anything wrong with this comparison, looks like someone said, “i can beat your s2k with my rally car,” and the other party said, “prove it,” and we had a race.

GRAVEL TIRES! just like Forcednduckshn said.
Also, rally drivers have a habit of drifting too much. Grip is faster on Tarmac. This also has to do with the TIRES he was forced to use. Not enough traction.

quick question i am looking to buy a s2000 (i would love an 03 model s2000 right hand drive in white) any good websites to go for that? or if any of you can point me in the right place it would be awesome

I agree with SHYONG! As the owner of both a Evo X and a S2000 the EVO is more than a match for the S2000 in most circumstances.
