Why do guys love car chicks? – Onehots2k opinion

Why do guys love car chicks? I’d say because they are hard to find. It automatically makes them more attractive to guys like us. It’s almost as if they are a freak of nature. I can’t name any mainstream female racing leagues off the top of my head. I mean we have basketball, volleyball, etc.

Where are the ladies racing? There is just something fascinating about watching a woman row through the gears of a car. She doesn’t have to be smoking hot either. Being a car chick automatically bumps you up a couple of notches on the desirability scale. They don’t even have to drive a stick. Just being knowledgeable goes a long way.  I find myself saying: “Wait, you know what an S2000 is?!?” Wow! “Your dream car is a what?” It never gets old when we encounter these gems.  They chose to be engaged and involved in the driving experience.

It’s almost as if it goes against their gender identity even though it’s ever changing. They shatter stereotypes in a positive way. Female car insurance is traditionally lower than males for a reason. There might be a small minority of male car enthusiasts that finds it emasculating. My advice is to move on. You’ll eventually keep on living.

There simply aren’t enough of these women, for now. Your significant other will still look to you to accomplish things that require total brute strength! Wouldn’t it be nice if most women just loved us car guys for being just that? I doubt its high up on their list. When I visit my parents my Father and I are forbidden to talk about cars at the dinner table. We squeeze it in anyway.  Why do you love car chicks?

I love them for the same reason I love S2000s. They’re beautiful to my eyes and no one can change the way i feel. And i totally agree with you .Being just a little car savy takes an ugly chick long ways up the hott scale. If the girl is a S2k enthusiast……. I’ma drop on ane knee whip out a ring and pop the question…

Its hard to find a girl that enjoys driving an awesomely build machine.. most of them only consider BMW’s, Mercedes’ and Lexus as the Ultimate machines of the road.. When a girl asks me the type of car that i drive and i say Honda they quickly stereotype and think i drive a beat up loud civic..(not that there’s anything wrong with them) but when i say s2000 they don’t have a clue of what it is… until they get in the car and i take them home.. then they tell me what a cute car it is.. When i see a girl driving an s2k my heart pounds like crazzy! Its like love at fist sight

Simply put, car girls…true car girls that is, are not only attractive in so many ways, but helpful, too! They can help you work on your car. They can help you look for new parts. They don’t complain about how much time you spend with your car, because they’d rather spend just as much time with it as you would!!! Best of all, they impress your friends. :D

I couldn’t agree more. The acceptance/embracement of my passion for cars is pretty high on the priority list for the perfect girl. Well stated!

Well, my driving an S was certainly part of the appeal to my +1. I put a pic of me in the car on my online dating profile. It got lots of attention! Men do like women who drive fast cars. :)

I agree! Ha, my daughter tracks her Mini Cooper S. She started out driving my S, and now she is a track junkie — does her own maintenance and a lot of the moding. It’s great fun, because we now track together.

While I’ll agree a beautiful woman is only more beautiful if she drives a nice sports car, I refuse to date any woman who has a faster car than me. HaHa

I also believe that sometimes car ignorance is cool, as long as there is a willingness to learn. I think its great when I get to explain what an S2000 is to a cute girl, as long as it looks like she is genuinely interested. Then its time to offer up that ride, then she gets to see what a great car it really is!

So true. I’ve always had a love for cars so meeting guys/being with one who doesn’t get emasculated by that is always a plus. It’s just one more thing that you have in common and can share with each other. That’s definitely a good thing in my book. The best part is pulling into a parking lot and there’s always an assumption that a guy is going to step out of a s2k and then out pops a girl. That and driving on the rd and someone pulls up next to you and then does a double take as if they almost can’t believe a girl is driving an s2k. The look I’d get was priceless. The s2k is one of the best cars I’ve ever driven! :)

I once had a chic that drove a slammed Prelude, snowboards, wakeboards, and raced motocross… Why didn’t I marry her right!? Well, let’s just say she was a “little” stubborn ;) My point is, your all soo right! A chic that can bang through a 6 speed and tell you your car is running too rich, she deserves a key to my castle!

    >.< One time I was going to the gym and I saw this hot blonde chick driving an s2k, same color as mine! It was almost play in slow motion O.O I wonder who that blonde chick is…… and I wonder if she's really into her car, or if she just got it for her birthday lol

Plenty of women who have reached high level racing. They mix it up with the men, who needs a women’s league?

    OMG, B – I <3 you.

That googly money eye guy is menacing.

Good topic. I really wish there were more girls around who had s2ks, or were into racing. It would be nice to hang out with girls for once…LOL! And then wouldn't be so many single guys at the meets…. :) jk…I love the boys.

Thanks to skot.foto for taking such a great pic of my car.

The HPDE events at The Glen have several female participants. Its probably rarer in the south.

It was a female S2KI member that initiated me into the fold and let me drive her S2000 so I could get a feel for one :)

Gender aside, I find car people to be great company

What crazy timing…haha — just met a really down to earth chick that is very much into cars, and her goal one of these days is to someday own an S2k!

In all honesty, it’s amazingly natural for guys like us to gravitate towards women who share a common interest, and like someone else has said, it only makes it easier if they are attractive! It can make an otherwise intimidating conversation much more mutual and natural, since the passion about cars is present from both parties.

At the end of the day, I *heart* car chicks !

I’ve had 2 s2000′s now and I’m only 31. But I know first hand how rare these chicks/girls are! Several of us have rallied together in the Corner here and become very good friends. I’ve been on this site for over 8 years and made some of my best friends ever all because of this wonderful machine known as the s2000! Try explaining that to our parent’s generation!

Then when I met the man I’d eventually marry, try explaining that one to your girlfriends! You met him where? how? And I was from Canada, meeting an American to top it off!

He’s still amazed that we met…and that these females Onehots2k speaks of exist :p

Such a great topic! We love car women for the same reason we love non-car women–common interests and hobbies. You know, things we can do together.

Even when in a relationship, each partner goes off and does their own thing and then comes back and shares, but isn’t is awesome when it’s the same thing and you can do it together? Like an all day track event, or an autocross, or a car show, or the drag strip, etc, etc. I would sooooo love to be able to spend time with a woman like that.

It’s just so much more fun to be with a person that gets this very unique and important part of who we are as car people.

It must be the same thing for women when they find a guy that likes watching chick flicks, lol. (Yes, I do enjoy chick flicks, lol.)

GREAT article! Being one of the very girls you are talking about, I often wonder just how other car enthusiasts of the male gender see us. :) Sometimes I worry you might be thinking, “Silly girls.” Or “They don’t know how to drive or what they’re talking about.”, etc. etc. I’m glad to see we’re actually held in a positive light here!

My love for Honda started with my very first car: an old ’86 Prelude. From there I went to the 4th gen Prelude, onto a 5th gen Prelude (which I still have), and now I’ve added the S2000 to my collection! I keep hoping my Lude and the S2K will get it on and make little Civics or something…. ;) lol

Seriously though, cars will always be a passion of mine and I’m thrilled to be able to share it with such a great community here! Thank you!

Lol I love this blog so much! Finally female enthusiasts are recognized =) I’ve loved cars since I got my driver’s license. My first car was a BB6, and then I sold it and earned every penny of my beloved suzuka AP2. I guess it’s in my blood to love cars being Japanese =) haha I also would like to commend the guy enthusiasts that actually do know their stuff about cars, and impress me instead, haha because I guess I tend to know more about cars than they do. ;) I’m hoping in the near future to make a tuning magazine for chicks that like tuning cars as I do. I’d love the support of guys as well! Wish me luck!

Married my car girl even though she didn’t think she really was a car girl. Few things neater than getting a call from her saying she just abused someone while driving our IS-F, or that she saw an S2000 on the road one day. Like you say, having the car savvy takes it to an even higher level. :-)

I try to stay away from most “car girls.” Majority of the one’s I’ve come across always seem to have something to prove.
