Video of the Week: Taking the S2000 to the limit

This is one of my favorite videos from the Best Motoring Series. They put to the test several production sport cars in the Tsukuba circuit on a very hot summer day. Among those cars, the Honda S2000 and the NSX-R compete in a different class of course. However, the greatest challenge is to find the balance and keep the car in the first place while maintaining the water and oil temperatures within normal levels. Grab a cool drink by your side, enjoy this forty minutes interesting Video of the Week and find out what the Honda S2000 shall achieve in this difficult dual stage challenge!

this videos shows why with the evos being the same price as s2000′s, that evos are a much better choice when it comes to performance. Which is why i own both an Evo and a s2000 but i made the choice to buy the evo first.

It shows the s2k has no water & oil temp “issues” at all.
IMO, if they would have used a 30 weight (like they did in the Integra), the oil temps would have been slightly lower due to higher oil flow through the engine – and water temps slightly higher.
IOW, you put more oil heat into the water, where its easier to get rid of.

Btw.. regular trackdays on dino is probably not a good idea without an oil cooler.
