While many people have S2000s daily drivers, a large number keep them as garage queens – in a stable with at least one other chariot to take them out and about.
Considering what the S2000 is – mainly a sporty roadster that does happen to have space for two golf bags (its true, they will fit!) but not much else, many folks have, want or desire a second car, whether it be a truck for big hauling, a buttoned up sedan for road trips, an awd application for snowy winters, or even a fuel efficient beater to keep the miles off their beloved S. So…
…considering all the things you do in your life, what do you think would be your perfect companion car to your S2000?

Make mine the car it really is; 2010 Acura TSX w/Technology package. It is finely made, well balanced and VERY fun to drive. I have 5AT, and I love the paddle shifters.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a sports car, but it’s “enough” car to continually bring a large smile to my face. Just like the S2000, but in different ways…

I have a 82 320i and a 82 rabbit with a 1.8swap.
I will be looking for a is250/350 b/c it fits in my price range. I would see the perfect companion as a E60 M5

Audi RS4 xD
But since I won’t own one of those and an S2k, most likely some sort of 08 V6 Accord coupe or red civic si sedan.

I have an 00 s2k and an 03 evo viii, I’m set. ;D

2005 S2000 April-October. 2002 WRX November-March. My S2000 is already away for the winter and we’ve seen light snow here 2-3 times already.

I keep my s2k in the garage with a cover on, I drive it when we have sunny weekends and as a daily driver I have a 04 Subaru impreza

Would love to have a tiny civic with a 1.6L gas saving engine. Currently have a 4.3L Blazer, KILLING me on gas.

I have a ’06 Honda Legend (Acura RL in the US) for winter time

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4×4…I needed a second vehicle to be able to pick up my son from daycare. My wife already has a 4 door sedan so there was no need for me to get another, so I figured a truck would do well with buying large items for the house and going camping with my son when it becomes time.

I had my s and a 95 civic.amazing gas mileage, but I traded it for an 08 focus.great gas mileage, plenty of room, cheap maintenance.it keeps my money aimed at the s2000
on Oct 30th, 2010 at 1:21 pm
My other vehicle, which I love no less or more, is a 07 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 4×4. Gotta have room for hauling stuff around.
on Oct 30th, 2010 at 3:19 pm
For a while it was my 05 Civic Hybrid. I called them “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Now my S2K is rooming with a ’66 Corvette convertible in my father-in-law’s garage.

Cant wait to buy my friends 91 Integra from him, I love the DA9 chassis so much. Fully gutted and comes with snow tires, yippee.
on Oct 30th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
If I could only have 1 car besides my S2000 it would be a 72 Dodge Coronet wagon, 400 small block with 6-Pack induction.
on Oct 30th, 2010 at 6:25 pm
Another S2k. (probably a 330d)
on Oct 30th, 2010 at 7:52 pm
RS6 would be great. RS4 more realistic though. S8 3rd choice, and Honda Legend 4th choice. I have an A6 right now and the quattro is stellar in the snow. Keep my S2000 in my garage away from the snow!

If money was no issue: an S2000 chassis with the Honda 2.2 iDTEC diesel.
on Oct 31st, 2010 at 3:39 am
My companion motor is a Yamaha Superjet jetski, still finishing the towbar though, Civic VTi is the wifes car, so the S is the practical all rounder ish i could ever need.

2004 Silvestone Metallic for sunny days.
AE86 Corolla Coupe (red) as my daily. Absolutely love both of them!!!

on Oct 31st, 2010 at 11:57 am
I DD’d my AP2 for 3 years before getting a 93 Accord and now I have an ’04 Civic Hybrid for my commuter. Ideally, I’d prefer a Honda clean diesel small hatch (CR-Z would be perfect with an i-DTEC) for my daily grind..but more realistically I’ll probably ge getting either another used hybrid (Prius) or a Mazda clean diesel if they make it to the States in the next couple years.

something way bigger for me, and something diesel, if you’re going to have an all out sports car, you should have an all out something else?
if Honda puts out that diesel powered Ridgeline, i’d be all for it. :]

Once a Honda fan always a Honda fan so I stayed with Honda’s. It seems like I keep wanting to keep every Honda I get to be my garage queen. I have a 00 S2000 that is totally a garage queen, then we bought a 06 Ridgeline as a second vehicle and it has became a garage queen. Then I bought a 09 Civic SI sedan and before I knew it that has turned into my third Honda garage queen and a Saturn sedan is my wifes daily driver and have a gas guzzling 08 F-150 for my daily driver. Not sure what I am doing here, maybe making a Honda automotive hall of fame of my own.
But I am wishing Honda made a 1 ton diesel truck to temp me in buying my 4th Honda.

03 S2k and then something to haul stuff…like to a four-door truck, preferably a Honda or Toyota
But the racer in me would like to add a WRX STI or EVO VIII MR… it will haul people and a little more stuff…

i would say to complete my stable i would have to have a nsx…
lol but if i had to use a spare car for DD duties, it would be an acura RL.

I’m hoping in the near future I’ll be able to keep my company truck and be able to take that home on an everyday basis rather than going to the office everyday and switching into the truck… pita… but still got be patient…. soon… soon..

2004 – S2k Silverstone
2008 – Chevy Silverado LT – Grey (near silverstone… lol) Soon to be daily!

For family highway trips I have an ’07 Accord EX that will get 38 mpg. For winter weather or when I need a much bigger trunk, I have an ’09 Ridgeline – very sweet in the snow! Just about time to put the S away for the winter.
Hoping to rebuild my ’89 CRX Si this winter.

I just recently traded my motorcycle for an S2000. My Daily driver is an Acura TL, which is as good a dd as I can imagine having. My wife has a Honda Odyssey. I’ve had a black Corvette hardtop since 1999, which only has 12k miles on it…at this point it’s a garage queen and I honestly hate to put too many miles on it. The reason I bought the S2000 was so I could just put the top down and drive. I guess if I had an old truck to run to Home Depot from time to time, I’d have all the bases covered.
on Nov 1st, 2010 at 12:59 pm
Give me a NSX or Lotus Elise. Or both…. Then give me a Volvo V50 5MT for DD duties and my mobile detail duties. Yea… that would work

2006 S2K…only in nice weather
2009 Mini….the perfect companion and everyday car!
on Nov 1st, 2010 at 3:40 pm
My 2002 Acura RL is a perfect complement due to space, quietness, decent handling and good measure of luxury that can be used as a DD (have 2 kids).
on Nov 2nd, 2010 at 9:21 am
I have a 2003 NFR s2000 for weekends and play when I can, and I switch between my 2007 Element and 1993 Del Sol for my DD depending on what the weather is. But Luckily I live in south Texas so I get to drive the S2000 year round. And my girlfriend has a 2010 Fit. We are a Honda Family.
on Nov 2nd, 2010 at 1:18 pm
To me the perfect companion would be a Subaru WRX STi. I dont have it yet but that is my plan.

The perfect combination should be;
*** S2k for you daily driver
and
*** Leave it parked, VolvoXC60 D5 for the girlfriend (you drive it on Sundays for shopping or for any other necessity,
*** Don’t let anybody to drive the S2K..!!!
on Dec 7th, 2010 at 2:57 pm

i think a nice white ridgeline would be a nice complement to my gpw S and would be really handy if I need something to haul my track bike or possibly trailer my S.
on May 28th, 2011 at 11:28 pm
my 2012 X6 xdrive35i has brought balance to my life.
the “more is more” BMW (2.5tons, all-wheel drive, 8-speed auto, leather and power everything, king-of-the-road ball-busting attitude) is the exact opposite of my “less is more” MY03 GPW (small, light-ish, high-revving, man-and-machine).
the bimmer is kinda cool, but the S is still hands-down my daily driver of choice.
on May 29th, 2011 at 7:01 am
