S2Ki has seen a lot of great info on cracked valve retainers, but there’s never been a comprehensive DIY for replacing them. Hopefully this DIY will save people from some of the exhaustive searching that I did.

Video of the Week: Life happens, but the S2000 remains constant
Some of the best car-related video material are those videos that include an insight into the owners lifestyle. Such material is very interesting and we would love to see more of such material coming from our members. Our member ALFYonso has shot various moments of his life with the S2000, friends and local community members [...]
One Factory option you wish your S2000 came with?
When Honda created the S2000, its goal was to create an unadulterated roadster reminiscent of the S600, created a generation earlier. While the S had a minimalist design, it wasn’t without certain high-end and creature comforts like HID lights, a (weak) stereo with CD player, cruise control, and power top. Thinking back to when you [...]
S2000s in Gran Turismo 5
Although we are not a dedicated video gaming site, we are certainly fans of racing games and with anything that involves the Honda S2000. With the official release date of the most anticipated and longest ever developed car racing simulator, Gran Turismo 5, finally solidified, we also finally saw the final car list for the [...]
What is Motoring? Part Two
On the heels of ralper‘s “motoring” story, we bring you this write-up from tomcatt, whose memory still lingers within our community. Inspired by ralper‘s post, tomcatt wrote about a brief fling in his S2000 during lunch hour. I’m sure several of us have at some point or another done something similar to feel rejuvenated, especially [...]
What is Motoring? Part One
To some, motoring is a concept associated with the Mini, after all they ran a big campaign claiming to be the epitome of “motoring” spirit. However, the concept of motoring is not something that any company, group or person can lay exclusive claim to. Motoring is all about a state of mind, an everyday experience [...]
Video of the Week: Playing with the S2000 in the snow
As the winter season approaches, several owners are getting their S2000s ready for hibernation. Yet there are those that will be out on the streets regardless of the inclement weather conditions. Some of us believe it is fun driving an S2000 in the snow. Our Video of the week features an owner that has put [...]

DIY: Replace dash light bulbs
So, I had a few bulbs burn out in my A/C and Radio Control units on the dash. I went to the Honda dealer and we attempted to order all the bulbs we would need. Unfortunately, the exploded views weren’t very clear. Now I know (and I’ll be ordering the “missing” replacement bulbs). So, first [...]
Video of the Week: S2000 Freedom
Our member SteveC got his hands on a GoPro Hero camera and has recently collected a lot of footage. He went to work on all his collected visuals and the result is our video for this week. We decided to call it S2000 Freedom, but you could also call it S2000 Bonding. There is a [...]
Greek S2000 Owners: Day trip to Nafplio
On October 17th, the Greek S2000 owners‘ community made a day trip to the historic seaport town of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Fifteen cars set off against a rain forecast driving through the winding roads of Peloponnese. One could say we were driven by our passion for the S2000. This also gave [...]
Respected or challenged?
We are pretty sure that the thought of how your S2000 and you are perceived by the general car-driving public, constantly plays on your mind. In your perception, does traffic make way for you or does it tend to obstruct you or tailgate you? This is the topic of a thread on our S2000 Talk [...]
