Plus Ones – we love them, sometimes we love to hate them, but mostly we are glad they tolerate our eccentricities and look upon our love for the S2000 fondly. They are stoic and supportive and are equally a part of our community, and they deserve nothing less than the very best.
And so it occurred to our member toekneeg that a forthcoming trip to Wake The Dragon would be the perfect moment to do something memorable for the true love of his life (not the S2000). He conspired with fellow members Speedworksracing, Bo(red) and MrWilliams and hatched a grand scheme to deface their cars with some decals. As the cars would drive past toekneeg and his fiancée, they’d deliver the message of unconditional love and an offer of a lifetime together.
It all came together and fell into place as toekneeg and his fiancée were standing at the lookout on the Dragon when they saw three S2000s making their way past them. Understandably, toekneeg was nervous with anticipation as he saw the expression on his fiancée’s face turn from normal to astonished. The first car said “Emma!!!!” followed by the second one that said “Will You” and the third car completed the proposal by saying “Marry Me?” She turned around to find toekneeg on his knee (possibly digging his toes into the ground with worry) with arms outstretched holding a ring and a look of worried anticipation on his face.
Needless to say, Emma appeared to have been floored by the chivalry displayed by the Knights of the Order-of-the-Dragon, and particularly by the chivalry of her knight-in-waiting, and uttered the magical mono-syllable toekneeg wanted to hear. And so it happened that the Dragon and those that seek to tame it witnessed a miracle by that grand wizard called Cupid.
