Default R.I.P RED MX5

Some of the more veteran s2k'ers may remember Chuck (RED MX5) as a passionate supporter of all things S2000. During his active years on s2ki.com, he would be up at all hours helping new members and weighing in on heated topics. He particularly enjoyed a good debate on philosophy, engineering, car control, or all of the above. He was a kind and generous man and would do anything for a friend.

He died last night after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Marg and daughter Abagail. He was a good friend to me and I know I'll miss him dearly.

If he's helped you out or touched you in some way, please post your fondest memories of Chuck in this thread and I'll compile the responses and forward them to Marg. I know it would mean a lot to them in this difficult time and help them remember and celebrate his life.

My hat's off to one of the more knowledgeable members of this board, who was always quick to share his knowledge and insights. His car control tips are what I remember best.

Rest in peace, Red. Your knowledge lives on in every owner who read your posts.

Condolences to all who knew him, especially to his family.

WOW ... this was not expected in any way.

Even though I did not know or talked to him, as a lurker, I remember his posts.

I wish the best to his family and I'll mention him in my prayers ...

The best ones always pass away before we're ready to let them go. Chuck's presence on this forum will most definitely be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Please accept our condolences and know our thoughts are with the family at this time.

He was such a knowledgeable guy about so many various subjects - I know I'll miss him and always regret we never had the chance to meet.
