Bourbon's S6000
Hey guys, just a little thread on my project that I've set the ball rolling on.
The plan is to fit an Ls2 (6L V8) to my beloved Berlina S2000
[attachment=45843:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1379816748 .801132.jpg]
There are several reasons for doing this swap, I understand that in some sense I will be defiling a legend of a car but its something I've always wanted to do.
Progress is probably going to be slow but I will update it as and when necessary.
Any input is welcome and I already know this'll be a marmite car so I won't be too butt hurt when people say its heresy
Carl

It took me and 2 good mates around 7 hours to drag the engine and gearbox out.
Looking back on it we'd have probably saved an hour if we split the gearbox away from the engine haha
Having a 500kg electric hoist on a swinging arm in my workshop was a god send!

Final moment with the lump before the guy who bought it took it away

Next step is to tidy the engine bay and do a little trimming to make some space.
The car is currently at my work and I can only work on it on quiet nights and weekends when there's no management about.
The Ls2 should be bought by early October so I best get my skates on!
I do have a For Sale thread on the go with several parts I no longer need, check it out as I'll often add parts.
Feel free to Pm me!

I got in contact with the guy a while back to ask advice and he told me he'd written it off a month before hand but had a load of parts for sale to do the swap. I bought them all!
The tegiwa one was an ls1 though, making it 5.7L. I was also going Ls1 but got offered an Ls2 at a real good price.
Cheers for the interest guys, I'll try to take pictures but I'm the kinda guy who forgets what he had for breakfast!
