admittedly they don't clear the bigger caliper I have up front. However if I'd got a similar wheel with an offset equal to that of what is on the current wheel and spacer included would it not make a difference?

Made a start on the 3rd gen of diff mounts for the Nissan diff.
This is 25mm thick solid mild steel. There is no way in hell that this will break or deform. So the weak point will be shifting, question is to where?
Suspect hub splines or drive cups will be next.

Probably, shock loadings have to go somewhere, make one part more rigid and you increase the loading on the rest.

Bringing this thread back from the dead!!
So I have to hand it to anyone who does automotive body work, I do not have your patience or skill that is for sure! I gave up making my own kit as I couldn't get it to look right so I have settled for a set of replica Circuit Garage fenders all round.
I've completed the rear end rebuild but have not tested it because for some reason I decided it was a great idea to pull the engine out and rearrange the engine bay and tidy it up.
I'm not finished with that job but I am well on with it! the coil packs have been relocated, the rocker covers smoothed & powder coated red (ral3000), the engine & gearbox have been painted satin black.
The wiring is in the process of being tucked/neatened.
I have a new Moroso trap door sump and remote oil filter with the ability to stick a cooler inline in the future.

The engine has had some goodies installed too, Ls7 camshaft, Ls7 valve springs and a rocker arm trunion bearing upgrade as it has been noted as a failure point when engines are pushed so better to be safe than sorry.

I hope to get some pictures up soon and if everything progresses the way it has done recently I'm looking at a mid spring completion!
