Default Skip Barber discount?

Can someone post the next time skippy has a discount? Looking for the 40 or possibly 50% off.

Thanks

Very, very unlikely that you can get 40 or 50% off. In years past, they offered a holiday discount package of 30-20-10, but I think that would have started by now: i.e., 30% discount in October, 20% in November & 10% in December.

I bought my first Skip Barber at a charity auction where one of the sponsors (Culligan Water) donated the school. I got into a bidding war with some guy's wife and ended up paying what amounted to a 35% discount, and I thought I had scored big.

What program are you looking for; and I'll post up when I get an e-mail from the school.

They had a 40 off back in June, I passed on it since I wasn't ready yet but now I am looking to sign up.

One Day only, I think.

Skip Barber is offering 30% Black Friday discount on its three day racing school as well as its other schools.

Use web code Wed3DRS when signing up. School at Sebring is cheapest at around $3100.

If anyone is interested, PM your email address to Aashish on the Upstate new York site and he can forward their email to you.

Paul posted this in Upstate, copying here.

Here is a good deal on the 3 day skippy school. Blueosprey Jeff, A2 and I have all attended different versions at different tracks but it is a very good school at a major discount from the regular price. Still pricy but if you are a track junky or a wana be track junky well wort it

I think I'm the only one who has done the formula school. Car handles a bit differently because engine is to the rear. I found that I needed to tap the brakes just prior to turn-in to get some better grip on the front tires. I sometimes can take a corner without braking or lifting, but didn't like the feel of that in the formula car. Otherwise the school program is the same.

Not sure if Skip Barber still does this, but when I did the school many years ago they had a standby list. I had a flexible schedule and was able to go to the 3-day school at a significant discount. When I did it, they called a day or two in advance that they had an opening. The first time they called i could not make it, but was able to make it with the second call. It may be worth seeing if they still do standby. It was too long ago that I don't recall the financial details, but I think I had to pay at the time I was put on the standby list.

I don't think they have the standby list any more. These last minute e-mails are the list, I think.

Many, many, many moons ago you could get s school for free if you flagged a certain number of events for them as well.

All sounds good, I am waiting for a 3 day school with the 40% off. I plan to do the NASA comp school this year but would like to do this as well.
