Default 2014 Car and Driver Lightning Lap?

I thought Car and Driver Lightning Lap was usually published early in the year. Wanna see how the new models did compared to some of the previous years lap times, etc... of course the track can change, conditions change daily but still neat to see the lap times despite the potential conditions, etc..

Anyone know if there is a 2014 Lightning Lap coming out?

I have a subscription but haven't seen this year's lightning lap yet. Most recent one is the March issue, with the z06 on the cover.

Haven't seen anything else myself. Ping them an email. I did and they replied promptly.

I was pretty curious about this recently as well, and traditionally the Lightning Lap issue is always February.

I can't help but wonder if this winter's harsh weather combined with VIR being repaved have caused a scheduling conflict?

re-paved track and now those records don't mean a whole lot compared to new ones. A new track takes time to scrub in and if it actualy adds grip and a few mpg to turns, there will be lots of butthurt when they test cars that "should be slower" than ______ ______ and ______. The reverse issue will happen as well if the track becomes slower even after scrub in.

^How is it that a new track surface aids in fuel economy through the turns?

just saw in the current issue of C&D that the 2014 Lightning Lap will be n the October issue.

apparently the Z28 outruns the Z51 C7... that is all it said other than see the October issue.
