Hi guys. Here is my 2005 s2000 that I got in May 2014. This thread will be used to track its progress on bringing it back up to par. It is at 133k miles.

First steps are to get it mechanically sound then I'll mod it mildly.

Here is a photo of the night I drove 2 hours to pick her up!

So far, it's mostly stock other than being dropped by the previous owner on Megan coil overs and a K&N drop-in filter. Its way too low in my opinion. The plan is to raise it up then replace the front/rear control arm bushings as well as ball joints/motor mounts and other bushings that may have been sacrificed from being so low.

sounds like a good start to your plans... maybe some wheel spacers to flush out those wheels a bit?

Previous owner needed an alignment...

Oh and also ruined the fenders by being so low:

Wow, pretty amazed the fenders got that mangled from stock wheels. You sure he wasn't running some herrafrush wheel setup before?

Glad you're bringing her back up to par. Looking forward to progress, and grats on the pickup.

Probably. He probably went back to stock to sell the car. It's still really low on stock and can be damaged from turning

After work today, did some work on the S, test fitted an "OEM Style" spoiler that comes painted:

Fits pretty well in my opinion.

I raised the car by about 1" all around and discovered that the previous owner did not properly pre-load the springs. The shocks are probably done. I'm planning on getting new ones after I do all the important fixes:

Look at that gap there's probably about an 3/4 inch between the top of the spring and the top hat.

I also took out the exhaust since it had a leak - discovered it was a lack of a gasket

I didn't realize how heavy the stock exhaust was. I almost dropped it on my leg!

I also removed the stock wheels since they are being sold tomorrow. I'm picking up some RPF1s but needed to put temporary wheels on it while it sits in my driveway (The Home owners association won't let me leave a car on stands outside the garage)

I have these beat up Racing Hart CP035s... 19"s though haha. They wont even hold air

Tomorrow I'll get a lot more done after I pick up the wheels. I have to fine tune the height (Raise front, lower rear a tiny bit) and get an alignment as well

Got the new wheels (Enkei RPF1's 17X8 +45 17X9 +45 245 40 fronts and 255 40 rears) and raised the car up by another 1" in the front. Evened the whole car out and this is how she sits now:

Time to get an alignment! I noticed that I rub in the front left side if I hit a big dip - Im guessing its the damaged fender. I need to get it rolled and repaired. Luckily its not my daily and will sit in the driveway most of the time.

My goal is to run -2.5 camber all around
